Counterweight 2kg

The standard counterweight supplied with the kit is a 100mm diameter and 2kg but is also available in the following sizes

• 100mm dia. 2kg
• 150mm dia. 5kg

Dovetail Bar Kit

The Dovetail Bar Kit mounts to the OTA and supports the counterweight assembly. It is supplies with Radius Brackets to suite the OTA size and diameter.

Complete Counterbalance Kit mounts securely to Meade LX Series Optical Tubes to facilitate proper balance as accessories are added and removed from equipment. When combined with our Piggyback Kit, an accurate balance in three dimensions can be achieved. The kit comes complete with the components as described below.   The weight of the 10” kit without counterweights is 1.75kg.

Counterweight Shaft Assembly

The counterweight shaft assemble is positioned along the Dovetail Bar to correctly balance the OTA. The shaft is manufactured from 16mm 316 stainless steel rod and includes a nylon tip. It is designed to tighten onto the Dovetail bar via a threaded Counterweight Shaft Dovetail Block.

Shaft Length is 175mm. Also available in custom lengths.
