Continuing our commitment to support the EQ6 series GE mount, we have completed some additional components as part of our ongoing program to improve and enhance our products. Some of these enhancements include,

A new Dovetail Tandem Bar for our Side-By-Side System (EQ-SBS)

Manufactured from 100mm wide 25mm thick aluminium bar and machined to include our standard 80mm wide dovetail on top and underneath, a Vixen style dovetail section along the full length, to suite the EQ6/HEQ5 GE mounts.

The dovetail bar has been accurately machined to match the EQ6 dovetail head ensuring a firm and reliable fit along its full length.

Notice also the improved clamping method used by the EQ-SBS Dovetail plates.

The EQ-SBS Dovetail Plates now feature our new Ultra-Grip clamping system.

This clamps against the dovetail of the EQ-SBS Tandem Bar with a matching dovetailed pressure plate that holds more securely and with less force.

Dovetail bars a held along the full length of the dovetail plate.

The EQ-SBS Dovetail Plates are available to suite our standard 100mm format dovetail bars and also our narrower plates to suite Vixen style dovetail bars.

ImagingSource Astronomy Cameras are now available with a full speed USB2.0 computer interface capable of transferring pictures at the camera’s full frame rate and resolution.

Cameras are supplied with a 1.25” nosepiece adaptor but does not include a USB cable.
