A Dovetail Tandem Bar for our Side-By-Side System (SBS-EQ)

Manufactured from 100mm wide 25mm thick aluminium bar and machined to include our standard 80mm wide dovetail on top and underneath, a Vixen style dovetail section along the full length, to suite the EQ6/HEQ5 GE mounts.

The dovetail bar has been accurately machined to match the EQ6/HEQ5 dovetail head ensuring a firm and reliable fit along its full length.

Notice also the improved clamping method now used by the all DTP-TB Dovetail plates.

These are available in 100mm and 80mm wide formats (80mm shown).

EQ6 Dovetail Head Unit

An alternative to the above this unit replaces the standard EQ6 dovetail head unit with a more robust one integrated into the dovetail bar. It includes a 100mm wide dovetail bar with an 80mm wide dovetail section.

The standard length dovetail bar is 450mm but custom lengths are available on request. The EQ6 replacement head insert is offset to help balance scopes of different size.

EQ6 Direct Control Interface Adaptor

This adaptor cable EQ-USB-DIR, can provides a direct interface between an EQ6 mount and the USB port of o personal computer or other suitable control devices. It enables third party driver programs such as the popular EQMOD to interface to and control the EQ6 mount.

When connected to the USB port of a PC, the cable is recognised as a standard Communications Port and assigned the next available COM Port number.

The EQ-USB-DIR eliminates the need for a USB to Serial adaptor cable.

EQ-USB-DIR Adaptor For The HEQ5 Mount

The HEQ5-DIR Adaptor, allows the EQ-USB-DIR to be used with the HEQ5 mount and enables third party driver programs such as the popular EQMOD to directly interface to and control the HEQ5 mount.
